Breaking New Ground in Asia

After months of planning and prayer, the ICEJ held its first major regional conference in Asia in April and the results were a great success. More than 700 registered participants from 25 nations across Asia attended the event, convened under the title “Envision Asia 2026”.

A leadership team from the Jerusalem headquarters arrived in Batam, Indonesia to bring a fresh message from Israel to believers in Asia. This included myself, David Parsons, Nicole Yoder, and Joshua and Anastasiya Gooding, who were joined by Peter Tsukahira, Suzette Hattingh and other key speakers, while ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler delivered a recorded message from Jerusalem. Christian leaders from Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand also shared the Word, while these same nations brought along colorful and anointed musical teams to lead the worship sessions.
The largest delegations came from Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, while other groups came from China, Hong Kong, India, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, among many other countries.

“I believe Envision Asia marks a timely shift as Asia rises to play a more prominent role in blessing Israel – not only through prayer, but also through financial support for the vital work of ICEJ”, said Jehu Chan, the ICEJ regional coordinator for Southeast Asia. “The atmosphere at the conference was electrifying, enriched by beautiful worship and powerful, anointed messages. It was truly a significant gathering that heralds a new dawn for Asia and its growing partnership with Israel.”
The gathering was modeled on the ICEJ’s annual Envision conference for pastors and ministry leaders hosted each year in Jerusalem. This initial Envision Asia conference took place against the backdrop of a shaky ceasefire in the US and Israeli battle against the radical Islamic regime in Iran. There was much prayer for the peace of Jerusalem, and many stirring messages on the spiritual nature of the battle surrounding Israel and why Christians should be standing with the Jewish state and people in our day.
