Strengthening the ICEJ Prayer Movement Across Asia

The ICEJ Prayer Department recently spent three weeks travelling across Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand to strengthen our prayer partnerships and encourage believers to stand with Israel. Throughout the journey, one theme clearly emerged: God is raising up believers across Asia with a deep hunger for prayer and a growing conviction that now is the time align with His purposes, especially for Israel.
The journey began in late April at the Envision Asia conference in Batam, Indonesia, where pastors, prayer leaders, and ministry workers gathered from across the region. One of the most encouraging outcomes was the strong response to the call for prayer and intercession for Israel. Following the conference, more than one hundred participants expressed a desire to become involved in the ICEJ’s prayer initiatives connected to Israel.

From Indonesia, we travelled to the Philippines, home to one of the strongest expressions of the ICEJ prayer movement. Each month, believers from across the nation participate in the ICEJ Rosh Chodesh Prayer Chain, contributing approximately 140 hours of prayer. Meetings with pastors, ministry leaders, and prayer network representatives revealed a mature and growing community committed to prayer, biblical truth, and standing with Israel.
A highlight of this visit was a gathering of approximately 250 prayer leaders and intercessors. The atmosphere was marked by humility, spiritual hunger, and a shared desire to seek the Lord together. The sessions focused on prayer and God’s covenant purposes, while many leaders testified they also were being freshly prepared for the season ahead.
Throughout these meetings, one truth became evident. Strong prayer movements are not built through events alone. They are established through faithful relationships, shared vision, and perseverance over time. Many of the leaders we encountered have spent years serving quietly and faithfully in their prayer rooms, yet their influence is bearing fruit far beyond what can be seen.
Our team also was encouraged by the younger generation. Several young believers shared how they are using social media to communicate biblical truths and respond to growing misinformation about Israel. Their courage highlights an important challenge facing the Church today. As antisemitism continues to increase globally, the next generation must be equipped with a strong biblical understanding of God’s purposes for Israel so they can stand confidently in the truth.
A key lesson the Lord repeatedly impressed upon us throughout the journey was that prayer must be joined with action. It is not enough to pray for God’s purposes, we also must actively partner with Him in advancing them. Prayer and action work together as two essential arms of ministry. Believers are called to both priesthood and kingship, interceding before God while actively partnering with Him to establish His kingdom purposes in Israel and the nations.

The final leg of our journey took us to Thailand, where prayer leaders and ministry partners gathered at the Thailand Prayer Tower in Bangkok for teaching, fellowship, and a one-day prayer school. Representatives from approximately fifteen prayer teams participated, creating an atmosphere of oneness and expectation.
The sessions focused on intercession, spiritual authority, and the biblical foundations of Israel’s role in God’s redemptive plan. Beyond the teaching itself, there was a clear sense that God was calling believers into a deeper understanding of their identity as watchmen and intercessors. Many expressed a renewed commitment to prayer and a desire for greater partnership with believers in Israel.
Returning to Jerusalem, we were filled with gratitude for what the Lord is accomplishing throughout Asia. The growing hunger for prayer, commitment to biblical truth, and desire to stand with Israel point to a work that is far greater than any single ministry effort.
God continues to raise up faithful watchmen from every nation. Seeds planted through the years of the ICEJ prayer ministry are bearing fruit, and there is every reason to believe that even greater opportunities lie ahead. This journey served as a powerful reminder that when believers submit themselves fully to the Lord, prayer becomes more than an act. It becomes a force that strengthens leaders, mobilizes nations, and helps prepare the way for all that God desires to accomplish in the earth.
