Israel currently finds itself at war! In this November/December issue of the Word from Jerusalem magazine, we share a powerful Biblical teaching that will bring clarity to the battle which Israel is engaged in at present. We show you how the ICEJ is on the frontlines of this battle through prayer, bringing urgent relief aid across Israel, and standing with Israel in the nations. We also bring you highlights of the wonderful Feast of Tabernacles we hosted just beforehand during Succot.

Spirit of Amalek

In our Biblical Teaching, ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler shares on The Spirit of Amalek and the War on Israel. Discover how the hatred of this oldest enemy of Israel came about and continues to exist from generation to generation. Learn about the spiritual principles in the battle against Amalek, their applications for today, and the crucial role of the Church in this fight.

Thank you for standing with Israel during this challenging time. Since the beginning of the war, the ICEJ has been on the ground, meeting the mountain of needs to bring comfort to the people of Israel. Our relief aid continues to include urgent food distribution efforts, assisting evacuee families, donating ambulances, medical supplies and equipment, funding trauma counselling, ordering more portable bomb shelters while also renovating underground shelters, and so much more!

We also expanded our weekly Global Prayer Gathering to a daily gathering giving current updates and praying for Israel. Please consider joining this online prayer meeting each day at 4 PM Israel time. In addition, our Rosh Chodesh Prayer Chain is also running 24/7 now, where churches and nations are coming together at specific times to pray for Israel. Read more about our various prayer and fasting initiatives and see the prayer points on page 11.

Be sure to read about the ICEJ’s Solidarity with Israel efforts, as ICEJ branches around the globe are organising pro-Israel rallies. You can also access resources on our website to help you make a stand for Israel. Learn more about these efforts on page 14.

Amid the ongoing conflict and a global surge in antisemitism, Israel is still taking in new immigrants and seeing a high number of Aliyah applications. The ICEJ is committed to helping Jewish immigrants return to their homeland.

As you are reading this magazine, may you be blessed and encouraged by realizing all we are doing together. We are grateful that you are partnering with us to comfort the Jewish people in their hour of great need. And please keep our Jerusalem staff in your prayers as we work tirelessly to bring love and support to this traumatized nation.
