The bright full moon shining above the palm trees and the sound of the shofar over Kfar HaNokdim marked the opening night of the ICEJ 2026 Feast of Tabernacles, as pilgrims from nations around the world gathered to worship the Lord in Israel.

Beautiful Worship from the King of Kings Worship and Dance Team in Jerusalem, as well as Aaron Shust from the USA, filled the air. With national flags flying high in the audience and encouraging opening words, it brought a sense of gathering and purpose: “The nations had come to stand with Israel and seek the Lord together.”

At the heart of the night, Apostle Renê Terra Nova from Brazil, with interpretation by Barry Denison (ICEJ-USA), brought the theme of the 2026 Feast of Tabernacles to life through Joel 3:16: “The Lord roars from Zion.” What would it mean for the Lord’s roar from Zion to reach our own homes and nations?

“This is the time for the Lion to awake, this is the time for the Lion to roar, and the Lion wants to roar in your nation.” Apostle shared that this voice is a voice of authority—the voice of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, reaching beyond Israel to the nations gathered in this desert.

For that roar to become a reality among us, the work must begin at home. “First you organise, then you conquer. If you don’t organise yourself, you don’t have the authority to conquer,” explained Apostle Terra Nova. The call is to bring order to our lives, face our internal battles, repent, and allow God to heal and restore what has been broken. Only then can we carry His authority into our nations.

From Zion to the nations, and from the nations into our homes, the Lion’s roar carries a vision of restoration. Homes can become prophetic centers, filled with prayer and the movement of the Holy Spirit. “There will be revival in your houses”—but the way to that renewal begins with a searching truth: “Without repentance, there is no revival.”

Speaking with Feast pilgrims Jonathan and Helena of the United Kingdom, they shared that attending ICEJ gatherings in Jerusalem has been more than simply participating in another Christian conference. It has been a spiritually transforming experience.

Jonathan says, “I don’t think you can come here without changing.” He has seen that change not only personally, but also in delegates who have returned to the UK with a renewed perspective and deeper faith. For Helena, one of the most moving aspects of the Feast of Tabernacles is seeing Christians from many nations and denominations worshipping together. After years in church leadership, she was struck by something she had rarely experienced elsewhere: extraordinary diversity combined with remarkable unity.

On this first night, the Lord called us to open our hearts to His healing, put our lives in order, and return to our nations ready to walk in His authority. Hear the roar of the Lion!
