Word from Jerusalem – March/April edition
Published on: 12.3.2026The Controversy of Zion (Isaiah 34:8)
The intense war with Iran launched on 28 February has disrupted life here in Israel once again. This includes everyone’s work schedules and all flights in and out of the country, which has caused delays in the mailing of the latest issue of our Word From Jerusalem magazine. We went to print with the March/April edition before the escalation started, but the magazine will now arrive in homes a few weeks later than normal. In the meantime, you can already enjoy the excellent content via our online format on ISSUU.
First, there is important news in this magazine on the decision of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem to hold an emergency Jerusalem Summit this coming June. Read more about this in ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler’s commentary entitled “The Jerusalem Summit: An emergency call for clarity”, found on pages 4-5. This critical gathering will take place from 9-11 June in Jerusalem. For further information and to register for this timely and significant event, please visit jerusalemsummit.net.
Also, be sure to read the inspiring teachings in this WFJ edition taken from our recent Envision pastors’ conference in Jerusalem. In “The Controversy of Zion”, ICEJ Senior Vice President David Parsons explains two biblical, prophetic truths to help Christians never waver in their stand with Israel in these tumultuous days. In addition, local Bible teacher Rev. Peter Tsukahira challenges us with his message on “The Church in the Valley of Decision over Israel”.
There also is a review of our annual Envision Conference, held this year in early February, which provided the pastors and ministry leaders in attendance with fresh revelation on Israel. They also visited the Israeli Knesset and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Gaza border region to see first-hand how the area is rebuilding after the October 7 terror invasion.
Next, there are reports highlighting the ways our Aid and Aliyah efforts are blessing and comforting Israel in this difficult time, including articles on some of our major rebuilding projects in Israel’s western Negev. With antisemitism rising globally, Israel also is preparing to welcome thousands of Jewish immigrants, and the ICEJ is ready to support them with pre-Aliyah arrangements, flights, and integration assistance to settle them in their ancestral homeland. We invite you to join us on this journey to help Jews return home.
Meanwhile, discover The Story of Homecare and be encouraged by the reflections of ICEJ Homecare nurse Corrie van Maanen on her work among elderly Jewish immigrants over her 30 years of service with our ministry.
Plus, learn how residents at the ICEJ’s Home for Holocaust Survivors in Haifa and many of our national branches worldwide commemorated International Holocaust Remembrance Day in January.
Thank you for your continued support of the work and ministry of the ICEJ. May you be blessed as you read through this edition of the Word from Jerusalem magazine.
And please keep in mind the urgent needs now arising in Israel during this pivotal battle against Iran and others who seek this nation’s destruction. See a summary of our emergency response here and give to our Israel in Crisis fund today at: help.icej.org/crisis
