Happy Rosh HaShanah!
Published on: 22.9.2025Dear friends and prayer partners
As Rosh HaShanah approaches at sunset on Monday, I want to extend my warmest wishes of health, happiness and peace to you and your loved ones.
The beginning of the Jewish High Holidays marks a special time for prayer, reflection and reconnecting with family. As the shofar sounds, many Jewish families gather around the holiday table, spend time praying and reading the Torah in synagogues, and reflect on events from the past year, while also contemplating the year ahead.
On this Rosh HaShanah, the ICEJ extends its heartfelt prayers for peace in Israel and blessings over the Jewish people worldwide in the coming year. Despite the challenges of the ongoing war Israel is still facing, may this be a season of stronger faith and renewed hope and joy for all who love Zion.
Shanah Tovah U’Metukah—may you have a good and sweet new year!
Greetings from Jerusalem,
Dr. Jürgen Bühler
