About Us

Your Embassy in Jerusalem

Diplomacy of Love
The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem was founded in 1980 by Christians from around the world as an act of solidarity with the Jewish people's 3,000-year-old claim and connection to Jerusalem. Today the Christian Embassy represents millions of believers from over 125 countries who share a love and concern for Israel and the Jewish people. Thus the ICEJ is considered the world's largest Christian Zionist organization, with active representation in nearly 80 nations. Some 50 full-time staff serve in our Jerusalem headquarters coming from over a dozen countries and speaking many different languages. We invite you to consider us as your Embassy in Jerusalem.

Work and Witness
T
he Embassy's work and witness is founded on the mandate of Isaiah 40:1, "Comfort, comfort my people…" For more than 25 years the ICEJ has been reaching out in practical ways to the people of Israel, while seeking to inform, educate and inspire Christians round the world to stand against the rising tide of hostility and anti-Semitism directed against the Jewish State. Our Ministry spans four distinct areas, to Comfort Israel, Educate the Church, Celebrate God’s faithfulness, and Confront anti-Semitism.

COMFORT
The Embassy exists to demonstrate God's enduring faithfulness to His people, His Word and His world in the heart of Jerusalem and to the wider Israeli nation. As ambassadors of Jesus, the ICEJ seeks to show a different face of Christianity to a Jewish people deeply scarred by centuries of Church-led anti-Semitism and engages in extensive social assistance projects that, over the years, have touched almost every community and people group in the land.

For 25 years we have been actively involved in supporting aliyah - the return of the Jewish people to the land - while giving practical assistance to help the absorption of new immigrants once they arrive. The ICEJ also produces the full-length biblical musical, The Covenant that has been performed to tens of thousands of Israelis in Hebrew since 2003, telling them their story, and pointing them back to faith in their God.

EDUCATE
With staff dedicated to serving the Church in the nations alongside as well as the people of the land, the ICEJ reaches out daily to inform and educate millions of Bible-believing Christians in some 80 nations about Israel's unique Biblical calling, political situation and social challenges. Embassy speakers are constantly undertaking international teaching tours that have brought the unique message of Israel's modern day restoration to Churches in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, India and beyond.

The ICEJ also publishes numerous position papers, pamphlets, tapes, DVDs and other teaching materials in addition to:

Reaching out to a younger generation, the ICEJ Young Adults Program, Grafted is bringing the dynamic message of God’s heart for Israel to a new generation of believers around the world while AJ’s Club provides an engaging online education resource to introduce younger children to the land and people of the Bible.

CELEBRATE
The ICEJ is probably best known for hosting the annual Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles - a multicultural event that draws thousands of pilgrims from over 70 nations for a week of teaching, worship and prayer during the Jewish holiday of Succot. The largest annual tourist event in Israel, the sight of feast pilgrims from every corner marching through the streets of Jerusalem makes a tremendous impact on Israelis and points them to the day when all the earth will worship the One true God in Zion.

CONFRONT
In recent times the fate of Israel and that of the worldwide Jewish community have become increasingly linked, with the incidence of violent anti-Semitism closely mirroring the ebb and flow of hostile media coverage of the Middle East conflict. ICEJ branches and representatives in over 50 nations reach out to local Jewish communities, organizing solidarity events to demonstrate Christian love and compassion and to stand against the resurgent tide of global anti-Semitism. Our response in Europe has been to co-found the European Coalition for Israel that brings Christians together at a political level within the European Union to challenge and confront decision makers about the distorted media picture that fuels their hostility to the reborn Jewish State.
