URGENT APPEAL: KIDS UNDER FIRE

Offer relief to children in bomb shelters

19 Jul 2006

Your urgent help is needed to relocate Israeli children huddled in bomb shelters in the North

Children take refuge in a bomb shelter during heavy HizbAllah rocket bombardment of northern Israel that has struck communities from Haifa to the Golan (AP Photo)The Galilee and Haifa areas have sustained over 800 rockets attacks from Lebanon over the past week, and over a half million residents have been forced to live in bomb shelters.

A number of Israeli organizations have approached the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem to help bring children stuck in bomb shelters in the North to safer alternative housing in the center of the country and provide them with summer recreational activities.

Our goal is collect at least $50,000 for this purpose as soon as possible!

Imagine if your own children were very frightened and “cooped up” in a small shelter for days on end while the sound of explosions continued outside. It is probably worse than we dare think.

Please help! Go to the ICEJ's secure on-line donation page and mark your generous gift for Israeli kids under fire:  "Relief for Children in Bomb Shelters."

Thank you for responding to this urgent appeal and showing your support for Israel at this critical time.
