Nefesh to hold eight ‘mega’ events in North America

By ICEJ News

09 Mar 2010

In an effort to bring 5,000 new immigrants from North America to Israel this year, the non-profit Nefesh B’Nefesh organization will be hosting eight “mega” aliya events this week throughout the US and Canada. The events start on Sunday in New York and will provide education, real estate and financial planning, and consultations on life in Israel, as well as offer financial grants to those who will relocate to northern Israel. Nefesh hopes to encourage 100,000 to make aliyah over the next decade by holding such events regularly. Several thousand Jews are expected to come to the events in New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Baltimore, Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, and Florida.
